Notice to 2025 UTME and DE Applicants

All candidates who applied to the University of Jos (UNIJOS) for the 2025/2026 academic session and selected the university as their First Choice are invited to participate in the Post-UTME/Direct Entry (DE) screening exercise.

Only applicants who meet the specified departmental cut-off marks are eligible to proceed with the online registration and screening, which will take place from August 18 to September 30, 2025.

Important Highlights:

  • Mode of Screening: Fully Online
  • Application Period: August 18 – September 30, 2025
  • Eligibility: Only First Choice candidates who meet departmental cut-off marks and have uploaded their O’level results on JAMB CAPS.

Who Can Apply?

  • UTME Candidates: Must have scored at least 180 in the UTME. (Refer to departmental cut-off list below for specific programmes.)
  • Direct Entry Applicants: Must have appropriate qualifications and must pay the prescribed screening fee.
  • O’Level Upload: Candidates must upload their O’Level (WAEC/NECO) results to JAMB CAPS before registering.

How to Register for the Screening

Step 1 – Account Creation

  1. Visit portal.unijos.edu.ng
  2. Click FORMS APPLICATION, then choose 2025 UTME/DE Screening.
  3. Read and close the popup instructions.
  4. Enter your JAMB Registration Number and click Get Started.
  5. Fill in your details (email, phone number, and password).
  6. Submit and check your email for an activation link.
  7. Click the link to activate your account.

Step 2 – Payment of Screening Fee

  1. Return to the portal and log in using your email and password.
  2. On your dashboard, select Make Payment and follow the instructions.
  3. Print the portal receipt and the Remita payment receipt sent to your email.
  4. Click Proceed to view and print your screening summary.

Important Reminders

  • Only candidates who selected UNIJOS as their First Choice are eligible to register.
  • Ensure you meet the departmental cut-off for your course. If not, consider a change of course on JAMB CAPS.
  • Upload your O’Level results to JAMB CAPS before registering.
  • After admission is offered, candidates must accept it on JAMB CAPS within four weeks or risk losing the offer.

Final Note

Candidates are strongly advised to follow all instructions carefully and ensure that all required documents (including O’level results) are uploaded to JAMB CAPS. Non-compliance may affect admission chances.
