The University of Uyo (UNIUYO) has officially revised the timetable for the First Semester Examinations of the 2024/2025 and 2025/2026 academic sessions. This adjustment, communicated via an internal memorandum from the Office of the Registrar, affects all students across the Main Campus (Nwaniba), Town Campus, and Annex Campus.
The change, dated February 11, 2026, was signed by Mrs. Cecilia M. Ochigbo, Acting Director of Academic Affairs, on behalf of the Registrar. It was made to accommodate administrative and logistical considerations while providing students additional preparation time.
Key Directives for Students
1. Fee Payment and Registration
- Students who have not completed financial obligations can use this week as a grace period.
- Only students with fully validated registration on the university portal are eligible to sit for exams.
- School fee receipts must be verified and converted to official university receipts at Faculty Finance Offices.
2. Examination Card Collection
- Students should collect or print updated examination cards during this period.
- Examination cards remain mandatory for entry into exam halls and serve as official identification.
3. Verification of Venues
- Venue allocations for large-enrollment courses (e.g., General Studies/GST) may be slightly adjusted.
- Students should check their Departmental notice boards for updates on seating arrangements.
Guidelines for Staff and Faculty
UNIUYO has also issued instructions for academic staff, particularly invigilators and supervisors:
- Re-align internal invigilation rosters with the new exam start date.
- Ensure examination papers are securely vetted and ready.
- Confirm that ICT infrastructure for Computer-Based Tests (CBT) is fully optimized for the revised schedule.
Final Advisory
The Acting Director of Academic Affairs, Mrs. Cecilia M. Ochigbo, encouraged students to treat the extra week as a Revision Week. She reminded the university community to adhere strictly to the new timetable to avoid disruption to the second semester schedule.
UNIUYO urged all stakeholders to maintain academic integrity and decorum as the institution moves into this critical examination phase for the 2025/2026 academic session.
