Osun State University (UNIOSUN) has officially announced the commencement date for the Harmattan Semester Examinations for the 2025/2026 academic session.

According to a circular issued by the Directorate of Academic Affairs, the examinations will begin on Monday, 23 February 2026. The notice was signed by the Registrar and Secretary to Senate, Mrs. Atinuke A. Oguntunde.

Key Requirement: 50% Tuition Payment

The university has reiterated that only students who meet specific financial and registration conditions will be allowed to sit for the examinations.

To gain access to the exam halls, students must:

• Pay at least 50% of their tuition fees, and
  
• Complete all required course registration procedures before the examination date.
  

Students who fail to meet these conditions will not be permitted to write their papers.

Registration Must Be Fully Completed

Beyond partial tuition payment, proper registration is compulsory. The university stressed that all academic formalities must be finalized ahead of the examination period.

Students who have not completed their registration are advised to do so immediately to avoid being denied entry into the examination venues.

How Eligibility Will Be Verified

UNIOSUN will rely on official tutorial lists to confirm students who are financially compliant and properly registered. Only names appearing on these verified lists will be cleared for entry into the examination halls.

Official Circulation of the Notice

The examination circular has been distributed across the university community, including the Acting Dean of Student Affairs and relevant staff members. It has also been displayed on official notice boards to ensure students are adequately informed.

Students are encouraged to make the necessary payments and complete all documentation promptly in preparation for the examinations starting 23 February 2026.
