This calendar outlines key academic activities for both the First and Second Semesters, ensuring smooth academic operations for the session.
First Semester – 2025/2026
- October 6, 2025: Online registration begins for returning students.
- October 27, 2025: Resumption for the new academic session and commencement of lectures.
- October 27 – December 19, 2025: First Semester lectures (8 weeks).
- December 15 – December 28, 2025: Editing of registered courses.
- December 22, 2025 – January 4, 2026: Christmas/New Year break.
- January 5, 2026: Resumption after the festive break.
- January 19 – 22, 2026: Convocation ceremonies.
- February 6, 2026: End of First Semester lectures.
- February 8 – 13, 2026: Lecture-free/GST examination week.
- February 16 – March 7, 2026: Undergraduate examinations across all faculties.
- March 14, 2026: End of First Semester and student departure from halls of residence.
Second Semester – 2025/2026
- March 14, 2026: Online registration for the Second Semester begins.
- March 30, 2026: Resumption and commencement of lectures.
- July 10, 2026: End of Second Semester lectures.
- July 13 – 17, 2026: Lecture-free/GST examinations week.
- July 20 – August 8, 2026: Undergraduate examinations.
- August 15, 2026: End of Second Semester and student departure.
- October 19, 2026: Proposed resumption date for the 2026/2027 academic session.
Additional Notes
- Faculty Board meetings: 2nd Wednesday of every month.
- Inaugural lectures: 1st and 3rd Wednesdays of each month.
- Senate meetings: Last Wednesday of every month.
- Results upload: Two weeks after examinations.
