The Directorate of Basic and Advanced Studies at the University of Jos (UNIJOS) has announced the release of application forms for candidates seeking admission into its Remedial, IJMB, and Diploma programmes for the 2025/2026 and 2026/2027 academic sessions.

These programmes are designed to provide alternative academic pathways for students preparing for direct university entry or professional diploma qualifications.

Remedial Sciences Programme (2025/2026 Session)

The Remedial Sciences programme is currently accepting applications and will remain open until 28 February 2026.

Subject Requirements:
Applicants must present any three subjects from the following:

• Physics
• Biology
• Chemistry
• Geography

This programme is intended for candidates seeking to strengthen their science background before progressing into degree-level studies.

IJMB Programme (2026/2027 Session)

The Interim Joint Matriculation Board (IJMB) programme is scheduled to begin in March 2026 and offers a direct entry route into 200-level admission at participating universities.

Entry Requirement:
Candidates must have five subjects drawn from the Sciences, Arts, or Social Sciences.

Diploma and Advanced Studies Programmes (2025/2026 Session)

Applications are also open for a wide range of professional diploma courses, including:

• Diploma in Theatre and Film Arts

All diploma applications will end in March 2026.

Minimum Qualification:
Applicants must possess at least five credit passes, including English Language and Mathematics.
