The management of the University of Ibadan (UI) has officially announced the commencement of the acceptance fee payment for candidates offered admission for the 2025/2026 academic session.

All newly admitted students who have successfully generated their admission letters on JAMB CAPS are required to pay a non-refundable acceptance fee of ₦50,000.00 (Fifty Thousand Naira only) through the University Admission Portal at www.admissions.ui.edu.ng.

 Payment Period and Deadline

The payment portal will be open from Monday, 10th November 2025 and will close on Friday, 5th December 2025.

 Important: There will be no extension beyond the stated deadline. Candidates who fail to make payment within the period will forfeit their admission.

 How to Pay UI Acceptance Fee 2025/2026

Follow these simple steps to complete your payment successfully:

1. Visit the University Admission Portal  www.admissions.ui.edu.ng.
   
2. Log in using your JAMB registration number and the credentials provided.
   
3. Select the “Pay Acceptance Fee” option.
   
4. Choose a payment method:
   
   •  Card Payment: Use a valid ATM debit or credit card.
     
   •  Bank Branch Payment: Print the payment slip from the portal and make payment at any designated commercial bank.
     
5. After payment, log back in to the portal to reconcile your transaction.
   
6. Finally, print your payment receipt as proof of successful payment.
   

 Required Documents for Upload

While completing the acceptance process, candidates must upload the following documents on the portal:

• Original O’Level Result(s) (WAEC, NECO, or equivalent)
  
• PIN and Serial Numbers of WAEC/NECO Scratch Card(s) for verification purposes
  

Candidates who have not yet generated their admission letters on JAMB CAPS are advised to do so before proceeding with payment, as refunds will not be entertained under any circumstances.

 After Payment What Next?

Once payment is confirmed, candidates are to present the originals of their credentials for verification and clearance at the Undergraduate Admissions Office.

The date for this clearance exercise will be communicated later by the university.

After successful clearance, qualified candidates will be matriculated as bonafide students of the University of Ibadan in an official matriculation ceremony.

 Important Note on Verification

The University of Ibadan maintains strict standards for admission integrity.
If, at any point, it is discovered that a candidate has been admitted with fake or invalid credentials, the offer of admission will be withdrawn immediately, regardless of the candidate’s academic level.

All newly admitted students are strongly advised to complete their acceptance fee payment and document uploads within the stipulated timeframe to secure their admission.
