Police Recruitment: Police Set Dates for Physical and Credential Screening for Recruitment Applicants

The Police Service Commission (PSC) has announced the next stage of its ongoing recruitment exercise. Candidates who successfully completed the online registration process are to proceed to the physical and credential screening phase.

In a statement released on Tuesday by the Commission’s spokesperson, Torty Njoku Kalu, the screening exercise has been scheduled to take place nationwide from March 9, 2026, to April 18, 2026.

Applicants are advised to visit the official recruitment portal at npfapplication.psc.gov.ng to confirm their screening status. They are also required to download and print the necessary documents, which must be presented at their designated screening centres on the date and time stated on their invitation slip.

Documents to Be Printed from the Portal

Candidates are expected to print the following:

  • Guarantor’s Form
  • Application Submission Slip
  • Invitation Slip
  • Credentials Screening Form
  • Physical Screening Form

Items Required at the Screening Venue

Applicants must come along with:

  • Invitation Slip (clearly showing the assigned table)
  • Completed Credentials Screening Form
  • Original National Identity Number (NIN) slip or NIMC-issued card
  • O’ Level Certificate (GCE/SSCE)
  • Birth Certificate or sworn Declaration of Age
  • Certificate of Local Government/State of Origin
  • Trade Test Certificate (for specialist applicants only)
  • Properly filled and signed Guarantor’s Form, including photocopies of referees’ credentials and their passport photographs

Both the original documents and photocopies should be arranged separately in two white flat files. Each file must contain a recent passport photograph attached.

Additionally, candidates are required to attend the screening dressed in white canvas shoes, white T-shirts, white shorts, and white stockings.

All applicants are encouraged to strictly follow these instructions to ensure a smooth screening process.
