The management of Osun State Polytechnic (OSPOLY), Iree has officially confirmed the resumption of academic activities following the Christmas and New Year holidays. Students have been directed to return to full academic engagement as lectures and other school activities are now in progress.
Alongside the resumption notice, the Polytechnic has issued a firm warning on fees payment and registration deadlines, especially for newly admitted students.
School Management Welcomes Students Back
In a statement released by the institution, OSPOLY Iree welcomed returning students and announced that academic work has resumed across the campus. Students are expected to take the resumption seriously and comply with all institutional requirements to avoid disciplinary issues.
The Polytechnic stressed that resumption goes hand in hand with timely payment of fees and proper registration.
Mandatory Payment of Prescribed Fees and Registration
All returning and newly admitted students have been instructed to:
- Pay all approved school fees applicable to their programme
- Complete their registration within the approved timeframe
The institution warned that failure to comply promptly may attract sanctions, although specific penalties were not listed. Students are therefore advised not to delay any aspect of their registration process.
January 13, 2026 Deadline for Newly Admitted Students
OSPOLY Iree has set a strict deadline of Tuesday, January 13, 2026, for newly admitted students who are yet to pay their acceptance fee and school fees.
According to the management:
- Any newly admitted student who fails to pay by the deadline will have their name removed from the Polytechnic’s portal
- This action is to make room for candidates currently on the waiting list
- Once a name is deleted after the deadline, no appeal or reconsideration will be entertained
Students affected by this policy will permanently forfeit their admission for the 2025/2026 academic session.
Registration Is Compulsory for Examination Eligibility
The Polytechnic further emphasized that registration is a compulsory requirement for participation in examinations.
Students who fail to complete registration within the stipulated period will not be allowed to sit for the First Semester examinations of the 2025/2026 academic session.
This rule applies strictly to all students, regardless of level or programme.
Final Reminder to Students
OSPOLY Iree advises all students especially newly admitted candidates to act quickly and responsibly by completing their payments and registration well before the deadline. Compliance will ensure uninterrupted academic progress, while delays may lead to serious consequences, including loss of admission or examination disqualification.
Students are encouraged to check the school portal regularly for updates and ensure all requirements are met in good time.
