Olabisi Onabanjo University (OOU), Ago-Iwoye, has officially released the schedule for the Orientation Programme and Matriculation Ceremony for students admitted for the 2025/2026 academic session.
All newly admitted students are expected to take note of the dates and comply with the guidelines provided by the university.
Orientation Programme Schedule
The orientation programme for fresh students will take place as follows:
- Dates: Monday, 6 January and Tuesday, 7 January 2026
- Time: 8:00 a.m. daily
- Venue: Otunba Gbenga Daniel Hall, Main Campus, Ago-Iwoye
The programme will be formally opened by the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Ayodeji Agboola, with other members of the university management in attendance. The orientation is designed to familiarise new students with academic life, campus rules, and available support services.
Matriculation Ceremony Details
The matriculation ceremony is scheduled as follows:
- Date: Thursday, 8 January 2026
- Time: 11:00 a.m.
- Venue: Otunba Gbenga Daniel Hall, Main Campus, Ago-Iwoye
During the ceremony, Provosts and Deans of Colleges and Faculties will present their students for the formal oath-taking, officially admitting them into the university community.
Matriculation Fee and Gown Collection
All fresh students are required to:
- Pay a matriculation fee of ₦2,500 via the official OOU payment portal:
payments.oouagoiwoye.edu.ng - Print the payment receipt
- Present the receipt at their College or Faculty Office to collect their matriculation gown
Important Instructions for Fresh Students
- Attendance at both the orientation programme and matriculation ceremony is compulsory
- Students must wear their matriculation gowns on the ceremony day
- All freshers should be seated at the venue by 9:00 a.m. on Thursday, 8 January 2026
