Olabisi Onabanjo University (OOU) has announced a postponement of the orientation programme earlier scheduled for newly admitted students in the 2025/2026 academic session.
The event, which was initially fixed to run from Monday, 1 December to Friday, 5 December 2025, has now been placed on hold. This update was confirmed in a statement issued by the Registrar, Dr. Bayo Orukotan, on 28 November 2025. A revised timetable will be communicated to students as soon as arrangements are finalized.
Updated Status of the Postponed Orientation
The five-day orientation programme meant for early December will no longer hold as scheduled.
New students had expected to use that week to receive briefings, familiarize themselves with university operations, and get acquainted with their new academic environment.
However, the university management has temporarily suspended the programme and will release fresh dates once a new plan is approved.
