Olabisi Onabanjo University (OOU) Admission Procedure for 2025/2026 Academic Session

OOU

The management of Olabisi Onabanjo University (OOU), Ago-Iwoye has officially released the guidelines for admission into its undergraduate programmes for the 2025/2026 academic session. All candidates who participated in the university’s Post-UTME screening are expected to carefully follow the procedures below.

Step-by-Step OOU Admission Process

  1. Eligibility:
Only applicants who sat for the OOU Post-UTME screening exercise will be considered for admission.
  2. Check Post-UTME Results:
Candidates should log in to the OOU Post-UTME portal to print their results.
  3. Aggregate Score & Cut-Off:
    • A minimum of 40% final aggregate is required to qualify for full-time admission.
    • The aggregate is calculated using the formula:
      ((UTME score÷400)×60)+((PUTME score÷100)×40)\big((UTME\ score ÷ 400) \times 60\big) + \big((PUTME\ score ÷ 100) \times 40\big)((UTME score÷400)×60)+((PUTME score÷100)×40)
  4. Admission on JAMB CAPS:
All admissions will be processed through the JAMB Central Admissions Processing System (CAPS). Candidates must keep checking their CAPS profile to accept their admission once offered.
  5. Upload of O’Level Results:
Candidates who have not uploaded their O’Level results (especially the 2025 NECO results) to JAMB CAPS will not be considered for admission. Ensure your results are uploaded at an approved CBT centre.
  6. Accepting Admission:
Any candidate offered admission on CAPS but who fails to accept the offer will not be issued a JAMB admission letter. Without this letter, registration at OOU cannot proceed.
  7. Printing Admission Letter:
Once admission is accepted on JAMB CAPS, candidates should print their JAMB Admission Letter and proceed to the OOU Admission Portal to begin registration.
  8. Transfer Offers:
    • Some candidates may be offered admission into a programme different from their original choice.
    • Such candidates must first accept the Transfer Offer on JAMB CAPS, then proceed to accept the new admission offer.
    • After acceptance, they must carry out a Change of Course within two weeks to align with the offered programme.
Important: Do not do a Change of Course without first accepting a Transfer Offer.
  9. Stay Updated:
Candidates are advised to ignore unverified information from unofficial sources. All updates will be communicated by OOU through official channels.

Final Note

The university management encourages all prospective students to strictly follow these procedures to avoid disqualification. Regularly check both your JAMB CAPS profile and the OOU Admission Portal for updates.

Congratulations in advance to all candidates who will secure a place at OOU this academic year.
