Modibbo Adama University (MAU), Yola opening of its admission portal for the 2025/2026 academic session, following formal approval of sixteen new undergraduate programmes by the National Universities Commission (NUC) after a successful resource assessment.
This development expands the university’s academic offerings and creates additional entry opportunities for prospective students across arts, sciences, and technology-based disciplines.

Applicants can now seek admission into the following degree courses:

- B.A. Islamic Studies
- B.Sc. Data Science
- B.Sc. Information Science
- B.Sc. Environmental Systems
- B.Sc. Forensic Science
- B.Sc. Petroleum Chemistry
- B.Sc. Broadcasting
- B.Sc. Cyber Security
- B.Sc. Information and Communication Technology (ICT)
- B.Sc. Software Engineering
- B.Sc. Meteorology
- B.Sc. Applied Geophysics
- B.Sc. Mass Communication
- B.Sc. Journalism and Media Studies
Entry Requirements
To be considered for any of the newly approved programmes, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- UTME Score: A minimum score of 160
- O’Level Results: At least five credit passes, including English Language and Mathematics, obtained in no more than two sittings
Application Guidelines
Prospective students are advised to follow the steps below based on their current JAMB status:
- Candidates who selected MAU Yola but were not offered admission:
Update your preferred course to any of the new programmes via JAMB CAPS. - Candidates who did not initially choose MAU Yola:
Complete a Change of Institution to Modibbo Adama University, Yola through JAMB CAPS.
Important Notice
This admission window serves as a second chance for applicants who were previously unsuccessful, allowing them to reposition their choices and take advantage of the newly introduced academic options for the 2025/2026 session.
