LASU Opens Cadet Corps Recruitment for Interested Students

Lagos State University (LASU) has announced the commencement of recruitment into its Cadet Corps, inviting interested students across the university to apply.

The LASU Cadet Corps is a recognised student body with a structured, paramilitary orientation. It is designed to help students develop discipline, leadership skills, teamwork, and a strong sense of responsibility. Members of the corps are often involved in maintaining order during campus activities, supporting security efforts, and assisting during official university programmes.

What the Cadet Corps Offers

Participation in the Cadet Corps gives students the opportunity to build confidence and practical leadership experience outside the classroom. Training focuses on obedience to rules, cooperation with others, respect for authority, and service to the university community.

No previous experience is required. Students only need a willingness to learn, follow instructions, and work as part of a team. Many students join for personal development, while others are motivated by the chance to serve the campus both motivations are welcomed.

Application Form Collection

Application forms are completely free of charge. Interested students can obtain the form from the Office of the Dean of Students’ Affairs (DSA) within the university.

Students are advised to ignore anyone requesting payment for the form or claiming to act as an agent. The entire process is handled officially by the university, and no fees are involved at any stage.

Who Can Apply

The recruitment exercise is open to all registered LASU students, regardless of faculty or level. Any student who is currently enrolled and interested in joining the Cadet Corps is eligible to apply.

Students and staff members are encouraged to help spread the information so that no interested student misses the opportunity due to late awareness.
