The Jimoh Babalola University (JBU), located in Ilorin, Kwara State, has officially opened its undergraduate admission process for the 2026/2027 academic session.

The institution, which is approved by the National Universities Commission (NUC), is inviting qualified candidates to apply for admission into several undergraduate programmes offered across different faculties.

Faculty of Allied Health Sciences

Post-UTME Application Procedure

The university provided the following guidelines for candidates seeking admission:

• Candidates who selected Jimoh Babalola University as their first choice in the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) portal and scored 150 or above in UTME are eligible to apply for the Post-UTME screening.
• Applicants who did not initially choose the university can still apply by changing their institution to JBU on the JAMB portal, provided they meet the minimum UTME score.
• Candidates must complete the application form through the university website and pay a non-refundable application fee of ₦20,000 (excluding portal charges).
• Successful applicants will receive admission notifications through both the university portal and the JAMB CAPS platform.
• Admitted candidates must accept their admission on JAMB CAPS to finalize the process.

Direct Entry Admission

The university is also accepting Direct Entry (DE) applications from candidates who possess qualifications such as:

• ND
• NCE
• HND
• IJMB
• JUPEB
• GCE A’Level
• Other equivalent recognized certificates

Interested Direct Entry candidates are expected to apply online through the university portal and pay the required ₦20,000 application fee.

General Admission Requirements

To qualify for admission, applicants must meet the following criteria:

• Possess a valid JAMB Direct Entry or UTME registration number.
• Have at least five (5) credit passes in relevant subjects in WAEC, NECO, or NABTEB, obtained in not more than two sittings.
• Candidates with IJMB, JUPEB, or GCE A’Level results are also eligible.
• Community Health Extension Workers (CHEW) with valid professional licences may apply.
• Applicants must ensure their O’level and UTME subject combinations align with national admission guidelines.
• Candidates must be at least 16 years old to qualify for admission.
