
The management of Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida University, Lapai (IBBUL) has officially announced the commencement of its Post-UTME and Direct Entry (DE) screening exercise for the 2025/2026 academic session. All candidates who selected IBBU as their first-choice institution in the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) are invited to participate in the screening, which will run from Wednesday, 10th September to Sunday, 28th September, 2025 via the university’s portal: www.ibbu.edu.ng.
Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for the exercise, applicants must meet the following requirements:
- UTME Candidates: A minimum score of 150 and above in the 2025 UTME. In addition, candidates must have uploaded their O’level results to the JAMB Central Admission Processing System (CAPS).
- Direct Entry Candidates: Applicants must upload scanned copies of their A’Level results (IJMB, NCE, or Diploma) alongside their O’level results. Please note that NABTEB A’Level results are not accepted for this screening.
Stages of the Screening Process
The online screening will take place in three (3) major stages:
Stage 1: Eligibility Check
- Input your JAMB Registration Number to confirm eligibility.
- Provide your mobile number and O’level results (maximum of two sittings: WAEC, NECO, NABTEB, or NBAIS).
- Enter your exam body result checker PIN(s) correctly.
- Generate a transaction ID/invoice for payment.
Stage 2: Payment
- Screening fee: ₦2,000 only.
- Candidates can pay either at designated banks using Branch Collect or online through the webPAY platform.
Stage 3: Result Submission
- After payment confirmation via SMS, log back into the portal with the credentials provided.
- Correctly input your academic records and upload all required documents.
- Print out your acknowledgement slip for reference.
Important Notes
- Candidates can use a maximum of two O’level results.
- Those awaiting results must indicate “Awaiting Result (AR)” but must update their records once results are released.
- Supplying false information will lead to automatic disqualification.
- Any candidate who fails to complete the online screening will not be considered for admission.
