Why Matriculation Matters
Matriculation is not just a ceremonial gathering, it carries legal and academic significance within the Nigerian university system.
By taking the matriculation oath, students formally pledge to:
- Uphold academic honesty and avoid examination malpractice
- Maintain good conduct and avoid prohibited activities
- Protect university property and learning facilities
- Respect institutional rules and regulations
After signing the Matriculation Register, a student’s admission status becomes fully confirmed, and their official matriculation number becomes active for academic records, transcripts, and future graduation documentation.
Important Instructions to Students
The university has advised all matriculating students to take the following seriously:
- Arrive early: Students must be seated before the 8:00 a.m. procession. Latecomers may not be allowed to join.
- Dress appropriately: Full academic regalia is compulsory.
- Maintain order: All students are expected to observe decorum throughout the ceremony.
To ensure smooth traffic and safety, the university’s security team will collaborate with relevant authorities to manage access to the Permanent Site Campus on the event day.
A New Beginning for the 2025/2026 Cohort
The 14th Matriculation Ceremony comes at a time of continued growth and development for FULAFIA, as the institution strengthens its academic standards and research contributions.
For the newly admitted students, February 17 marks the official start of a transformative journey, one that will shape their intellectual growth and future careers.
The university management congratulates all fresh students and looks forward to a successful and dignified ceremony.
