Federal University Dutse (FUD) Launches Scholarship Scheme for Indigent Students

The Federal University Dutse (FUD) has officially opened applications for the 2025/2026 Students’ Benevolent Scholarship Scheme, targeting students experiencing financial hardship. The announcement was made by the Students’ Affairs Division in a circular issued on 16 February 2026 by the Office of the Vice-Chancellor.

This initiative aims to provide financial relief to vulnerable students who are unable to pay their registration fees, ensuring that economic challenges do not hinder their academic progress.

Eligibility and Application Process

The scholarship is exclusive to indigent students who have not yet paid their registration fees and do not have verified or disbursed funding from NELFUND. Students who meet the criteria are required to:

  1. Obtain the official application form from the Students’ Affairs Division.
  2. Complete the form accurately.
  3. Submit the form along with a stamped copy of their previous semester result.

The selection of beneficiaries will be conducted by the university’s Benevolent Committee following a careful review of applications.

Deadline for Submission

All applications must be submitted by Monday, 23 February 2026. Students are encouraged to apply promptly to ensure consideration.
