The Federal Government has launched an online application portal for the recruitment of Technical Facilitators to serve in Federal Technical Colleges across Nigeria.

According to the Federal Ministry of Education, the initiative is a special one-year intervention designed to strengthen Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) nationwide.

Purpose of the Recruitment Exercise

The Ministry explained that the programme is aimed at improving the quality of skills-based education in federal technical institutions. By bringing in professionals with strong industry experience, the government seeks to align classroom instruction with current labour market demands.

The intervention is part of broader efforts to close Nigeria’s skills gap and equip students with practical competencies that enhance employability and entrepreneurship.

Who Can Apply?

The recruitment targets qualified technical experts with proven industry background and sound teaching ability. Successful candidates will be expected to deliver both theoretical lessons and hands-on practical training.

The goal is to reinforce competency-based education across Federal Technical Colleges and ensure students graduate with relevant, market-ready skills.

Application Process

Interested applicants must complete and submit the official online form through the Ministry’s designated recruitment portal.

The Ministry emphasized that applications will undergo a transparent and merit-driven selection process. However, submitting an application does not automatically guarantee appointment.

Deadline for Submission

The application portal will remain open until 11:59 p.m. on Monday, 16 March 2026. Prospective candidates are advised to complete their submissions before the deadline.

Commitment to Skills Development

The Federal Ministry of Education reiterated its dedication to repositioning Federal Technical Colleges as centres of excellence for technical training and workforce development.

Through this initiative, the government hopes to enhance the delivery of vocational education and better prepare young Nigerians for opportunities in today’s evolving economy.
