Ekiti State University (EKSU) has officially set the arrangements for the matriculation ceremony for newly admitted students for the 2025/2026 session. Attendance is compulsory, as this event formally recognizes students as members of the university community.
Ceremony Details
- Event Date: Friday, 6th February 2026
- Start Time: 10:00 a.m.
- Location: University Main Auditorium
EKSU has stated that any student who fails to participate will be regarded as having voluntarily withdrawn from the institution.
Academic Gown Collection and Return Policy
Gown Pickup:
- Date: Thursday, 5th February 2026
- Time: 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
- Collection Point: Offices of Faculty Coordinators
Documents required:
- Original Admission Letter
- Proof of registration and clearance
Return Guidelines:
- Deadline: Monday, 9th February 2026, by 2:00 p.m.
- Late Fee: ₦500 per day for overdue gowns
- Replacement: Full payment required for lost or damaged gowns
Attire Recommendations
- Male Students: Wear formal suits beneath the academic gown
- Female Students: Wear modest English dresses or appropriate corporate attire under the gown
Arrival and Seating Instructions
- Guests should arrive early and be seated by 9:00 a.m.
- Matriculating students must be fully robed and seated by 9:30 a.m. for the academic procession to avoid disruption
Post-Matriculation Requirements
After the ceremony, students must:
- Sign the Faculty Matriculation Register
- Submit their Matriculation Oath to confirm formal induction
