DELSU Extends School Fees Payment and Course Registration Deadline for 2025/2026 Session

delsu

Delta State University (DELSU) has announced a new deadline for the payment of school fees and completion of course registration for the 2025/2026 academic session, giving students additional time to regularise their academic records.

The extension applies to all undergraduate students of the university.

New Deadline Approved by Management

According to the official notice, the university management has shifted the deadline originally stated in the academic calendar.

  • Previous deadline: 19 December 2025
  • New deadline: Sunday, 18 January 2026

This extension is intended to accommodate students who were unable to complete the required processes earlier.

Who the Extension Applies To

The revised timeline covers two compulsory academic requirements:

  • Payment of prescribed school fees
  • Completion of course registration

Any undergraduate student who has not completed both steps is expected to do so before the new deadline.

The university has clearly stated that no further extension will be granted after 18 January 2026.

Why Paying and Registering on Time Matters

DELSU has tied participation in core academic activities to full compliance with fees payment and course registration.

Only students who complete both requirements will be allowed to:

  • Take part in continuous assessment (CA)
  • Sit for the first semester examinations

Students who fail to meet the deadline risk being excluded from these academic activities.

What Students Should Do Now

To avoid unnecessary setbacks, affected students are advised to:

  • Log in to the DELSU portal as soon as possible
  • Complete school fees payment
  • Finalise course registration before the deadline
  • Confirm that their status reflects correctly on the portal

Waiting until the last minute could lead to technical or administrative issues.

Final Note

Delta State University has made it clear that academic participation for the 2025/2026 session depends on timely compliance. Students are strongly encouraged to take advantage of this extension and avoid actions that could disrupt their academic progress.
