The management of Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University (COOU), formerly known as Anambra State University (ANSU), has officially released the admission list for the 2025/2026 academic session.

All candidates who participated in the university’s admission screening exercise can now check their status via the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) CAPS portal.

How to Check COOU Admission Status on JAMB CAPS

Follow these simple steps to confirm your admission:

1. Visit the JAMB E-Facility Portal.
   
2. Log in with your registered email address and password.
   
3. Scroll down and click on Check Admission Status.
   
4. Select Access my CAPS.
   
5. Click on Admission Status to see if you have been offered admission.
   

 If admitted:

• Your profile photo will appear along with a congratulatory message.
  
• Accept or Reject the admission offer by sending ACCEPT or REJECT as SMS to 55019 or 66019 using the phone number linked to your JAMB profile.
  
• Print your JAMB Admission Letter immediately after accepting, as it will be required for clearance and registration at COOU.
  

 If not admitted yet:
You will see the message: “Sorry, No Admission Has Been Given Yet.” Don’t panic—more admission lists may be released in subsequent batches.

Important Notes for COOU Candidates

• You must accept your admission within 4 weeks; failure to do so may lead to automatic forfeiture of the offer.
  
• If your registered phone number is unavailable, visit a JAMB-accredited centre to accept or reject the admission.
  
• Candidates who have not uploaded their O’level results on JAMB CAPS will not be considered for admission.
  
• Phone users may not see the Admission Status option on CAPS. To fix this, use Chrome Browser and enable Desktop Site Mode for the full page display.
