The management of Bayero University, Kano (BUK) wishes to inform the general public that the online sale of postgraduate application forms for the 2025/2026 academic session has officially commenced on Monday, 22nd September, 2025, and will close on Sunday, 1st February, 2026.
Qualified candidates who wish to pursue Postgraduate Diplomas, Master’s, M.Phil, or Ph.D. programmes at Bayero University, Kano are hereby invited to apply.
BUK Postgraduate Application Form Cost
The cost of the BUK postgraduate application form is ₦12,000 (Twelve Thousand Naira only), inclusive of administrative charges.
Payment should be made through the Remita e-Payments and e-Collection platform.
Application Period
- Start Date: Monday, 22nd September, 2025
- Deadline: Sunday, 1st February, 2026
Applicants are strongly advised to complete their registration well before the closing date to avoid last-minute technical issues.
General Admission Requirements
All applicants must ensure they meet the following minimum requirements before applying:
- Five (5) O’Level Credits including English Language and Mathematics in not more than two sittings.
- Candidates applying for Ph.D/M.Phil or Academic Master’s programmes must have their academic transcripts sent directly to:
The Secretary, School of Postgraduate Studies, Bayero University, Kano. - Ph.D applicants are also required to submit a short research proposal (maximum of 350 words) that includes:
- Title of research
- Statement of the problem
- Objectives of the study

How to Apply for BUK Postgraduate Admission (Step-by-Step Guide)
Follow these easy steps to complete your Bayero University Kano postgraduate application successfully:
Step 1: Create an Account
- Visit the official application portal https://mybuk3.buk.edu.ng/cpsforms2025/login.php
- Under the Prospective Student Tab, click on “Applications.”
- Login using your Full Name and select “Applying for a Postgraduate Programme.”
- A username and password will be generated for you — keep them safe.
Step 2: Generate BUKPPF & Make Payment
- Login to your account and generate/print your BUK Personalized Payment Form (BUKPPF).
- Your application fee of ₦12,000 will appear automatically.
- Make payment through Remita (www.remita.net) using the details exactly as shown on your BUKPPF.
Note:
- Use the applicant’s name, email, and phone number even if payment is made by someone else.
Step 3: Complete the Online Forms
- Return to the portal and login with your username and password.
- Fill out the following forms:
- Programme Selection Form
- Personal Data Form
- Qualifications Form
- Programme Selection Form
Step 4: Submit Transcript Request Form
- For Ph.D, M.Phil, and Academic Master’s candidates, fill out and print the Transcript Request Form.
- Submit it to your previous institution to send your transcript directly to BUK.
Step 5: Review & Submit
- Double-check all entered information for accuracy.
- Click ‘Submit’ to finalize your application.
Step 6: Print Acknowledgement Slip
- Once submitted, an Acknowledgement Slip will be generated immediately.
- Print and keep it safe it will be required during registration and admission letter collection.
Important Notice
Successful applicants must present the following documents during screening and registration:
- NYSC Discharge, Exemption, or Exclusion Certificate
- Original copies of credentials and certificates
- Printed Acknowledgement Slip
