Alvan Ikoku Federal University of Education (AIFUE), Owerri, has formally scheduled its Second Matriculation Ceremony for the 2026 academic year. The event marks the official induction of newly admitted students into the university community.
The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Stella Ngozi Lemchi, speaking on behalf of the university’s management, staff, and students, has invited members of the institution and the general public to attend the ceremony.

Academic Procession Guidelines
According to the official notice, the matriculation procession will begin at 10:00 a.m. from the Multi-Purpose Court.
All matriculating students are required to:
- Take part in the academic procession
- Assemble at the designated take-off point on time
- Move in an orderly manner with their respective groups
Participation in the procession is compulsory for all fresh students being inducted.
Seating and Attendance Instructions
New students must be seated at the University Pavilion no later than 11:00 a.m. Late arrival may prevent participation in important segments of the ceremony.
The university emphasized strict adherence to the timetable to preserve the dignity and structure of the academic tradition.
