The Akwa Ibom State University (AKSU) has officially received approval from the National Universities Commission (NUC) to begin its Full-Time Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) Degree Programme, starting from the 2025/2026 academic session.
The approval, dated 10th November 2025, authorizes the university to admit its pioneer set of Law students. AKSU therefore invites suitably qualified candidates to apply for admission into the newly established Law programme.
Eligibility Requirements
To qualify for AKSU’s LL.B. Law programme, candidates must:
- Choose AKSU as First Choice in UTME
- Score a minimum of 280 in the 2025 UTME
- Candidates who did not initially select AKSU may request a Change of Institution on the JAMB portal
Registration Start Date
Online registration begins on Monday, 17th November 2025.
Only candidates who complete the online application will be considered for admission.
Documents Required for Screening
Applicants must upload clear scanned copies of:
- 2025 UTME Result Slip
- Birth Certificate
- Certificate of Origin
- AKSU PUTME Registration Confirmation Slip (2025)
How to Apply for AKSU Law Admission
Follow these steps:
- Visit the portal: aksu.edu.ng/app
- Click START NOW
- Select Enrol
- Choose PUTME
- Enter your JAMB Registration Number
- Verify your details
- Pay the ₦2,000 registration fee (excluding bank charges)
- Upload the required documents in .jpg format (120KB–150KB)
- Review your entries
- Click Finish to generate your Registration Confirmation Slip
