Akwa Ibom State University (AKSU) has broadened its academic scope following the approval of 16 additional undergraduate programmes by the National Universities Commission (NUC). The new courses will take effect from the 2025/2026 academic session.
The development was made public through an official statement released by the university, informing prospective students and stakeholders about the newly accredited programmes now available for admission.

With the latest approval, AKSU will begin admitting students into the following programmes:

- B.Sc. Peace and Conflict Resolution
- B.Ed. Guidance and Counselling
- B.Eng. Automotive Engineering
