ABU Extends SBRS Application Deadline to January 31 for 2025/2026 Intake

Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), Zaria, has officially extended the closing date for the sale of application forms into its School of Basic and Remedial Studies (SBRS), Funtua, for the 2025/2026 academic session.

With this extension, candidates who are yet to apply now have additional time to complete their registration and secure a place in the programme.

New Closing Date for SBRS Forms

According to the university’s management, the sale of SBRS admission forms will now end on January 31, 2026. Interested applicants are advised to complete the entire application process on or before this date, as late submissions will not be accepted.

Available Programmes at SBRS Funtua

Applicants can choose from the following academic options offered by the School of Basic and Remedial Studies:

  • Remedial Science Programme
    (Four subject combinations available)
  • Basic / IJMB A’Level Science Programme
    (Six subject combinations available)

These programmes are designed to prepare students for advanced academic studies and university admission.

Step-by-Step Guide to Apply

Candidates are required to follow the procedure below to apply successfully:

  1. Visit the SBRS application portal at:
    www.sbrs.abtu.edu.ng
  2. Create a new account or log in if you already have one.
  3. Select your preferred programme from the available options.
  4. Complete your profile by uploading:
    • Personal information
    • Contact details
    • O’Level results
    • Recent passport photograph
  5. Click on “Buy Form”, then proceed to payment by:
    • Paying online using an ATM card, or
    • Printing the transaction slip for payment at any commercial bank

Applicants are encouraged to double-check all entries before final submission.

Cost of Application Form

The SBRS admission form is priced at ₦10,000 (Ten Thousand Naira only).

This fee paid is non-refundable once payment has been made.
