The University of Lagos (UNILAG) has officially announced the commencement of Direct Entry (DE) online registration for the 2025/2026 academic session. The exercise will run from Monday, September 22, 2025, to Friday, October 3, 2025, covering all undergraduate programmes and courses.

This is an important step for candidates seeking admission into UNILAG through Direct Entry, and applicants are strongly advised to follow the process carefully.

Eligibility Criteria

To qualify for registration, candidates must:

• Have chosen UNILAG as their first-choice institution in the 2025/2026 JAMB Direct Entry application.
  
• Possess at least five (5) credit passes at one sitting in relevant O’level subjects, including English Language and Mathematics.
  
• Be 16 years or older by September 30, 2025.
  
• Ensure that personal details such as name, date of birth, state of origin, and LGA are consistent across all documents.
  

 Note:

• Candidates below 16 years are not eligible.
  
• Expelled students cannot be re-admitted.
  
• Former students withdrawn due to poor academic performance may reapply, but only to a different course/programme.
  
• The University maintains zero tolerance for drug abuse. Any candidate who tests positive before or after admission will have their offer withdrawn.
  

Application Fee

The UNILAG Direct Entry application fee is ₦3,500 (non-refundable).

Step-by-Step Registration Procedure

1. Visit the UNILAG website www.unilag.edu.ng.
   
2. On the homepage, click on 2025/2026 Direct Entry (DE) Application.
   
3. Log in with your DE Application Number (Username) and surname in lowercase (Password).
   
4. Generate and print your payment advice.
   
5. Pay the ₦3,500 fee at any commercial bank or online using your debit card.
   
6. Return to the portal and complete the screening form.
   
7. Upload the required credentials, including:
   
   • O’Level result(s)
     
   • First Degree, HND, OND, JUPEB, A’ Level, NCE, or equivalent qualifications
     
   • Birth Certificate/Declaration of Age
     
   • State of Origin certificate
     
8. Preview all data entered for accuracy.
   
9. Submit and print your Direct Entry e-registration slip.
   
10. Submit the slip with your credentials at the Admission Office, Room 174, Senate Building, UNILAG, between September 22 and October 3, 2025.
