JAMB Lists Universities Delaying Under-Age Candidates’ Admissions for 2025/2026

JAMB

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has released the names of universities delaying the admission process for under-age candidates who sat for the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).

According to JAMB, 23 out of 71 universities chosen by under-age applicants failed to upload their Post-UTME scores before the agreed deadline of 15th September 2025.

 Why This Matters

Universities rely on a combination of UTME, Post-UTME, and SSCE results to make final admission decisions. However, with the release of NECO’s SSCE results coming shortly after the deadline, JAMB granted an extension to allow under-age candidates to be properly assessed.

JAMB noted that failure by the defaulting universities to upload results may delay admissions for the affected students.
