
The management of Yobe State University (YSU), Damaturu has officially released the admission list for the 2025/2026 academic session. All candidates who took part in the university’s admission screening exercise can now check their status to know whether they have been offered provisional admission.
The admission list has been uploaded online through the JAMB Central Admission Processing System (CAPS), making it easy for candidates to confirm their offers.
How to Check YSU Admission Status on JAMB CAPS
Follow the steps below to confirm your admission:
- Go to the JAMB CAPS portal via https://efacility.jamb.gov.ng/.
- Log in using the email address and password you used for JAMB registration.
- Click on “Check Admission Status.”
- Select “Access My CAPS.”
- Click on “Admission Status” to see if you have been offered admission.
If you’ve been admitted, you will see your details alongside a congratulatory message.
If it shows “Not Admitted” or “Admission in Progress,” don’t panic, more names will still be uploaded.
Next Steps After Admission
- Accept or Reject Admission: Use your CAPS dashboard or send ACCEPT or REJECT as SMS to 55019 or 66019 from your JAMB-registered phone number.
- Deadline: Candidates have 4 weeks to accept their admission. Those who can’t access their registered phone number should visit a JAMB-accredited CBT centre for assistance.
- Print Your Admission Letter: After accepting your admission, print your JAMB admission letter. This document will be required for clearance and registration at YSU.
Important Notice for Mobile Users
If you’re checking CAPS with a phone, you might not immediately see the Admission Status option. Switch to desktop mode on your browser (Chrome is recommended) by selecting “Request Desktop Site” to access the full page.
