The management of Northwest University, Kano (now Yusuf Maitama Sule University Kano, YMSUK) wishes to inform all candidates who chose the institution as their First Choice in the 2025 UTME or Direct Entry (DE) that the Post-UTME/DE Screening Registration has commenced.
Registration Period:
Monday, 15th September 2025 → Sunday, 28th September 2025
All eligible candidates are expected to complete their registration online via the University’s admission portal: www.nwu.edu.ng.
Eligibility Requirements
To qualify for the screening exercise, candidates must:
- Have chosen Northwest University, Kano (YMSUK) as their first choice institution.
- Possess at least five (5) O’Level credits including English Language and Mathematics in not more than two sittings.
- Score the minimum cut-off mark required for their chosen programme.
For Direct Entry (DE) Candidates:
- Must possess the 2025 JAMB Direct Entry (DE) Registration Slip.
- Acceptable qualifications include ND, NCE, IJMB, or equivalent with:
- Minimum CGPA of 3.0 for Science-based ND and 3.5 for Arts-based ND.
- Minimum of 9 points in NCE.
- Minimum of 7 points (Science-based IJMB) or 8 points (Arts & Social Science IJMB).
- Minimum CGPA of 3.0 for Science-based ND and 3.5 for Arts-based ND.
Registration Guidelines
- Visit the University portal www.nwu.edu.ng and click “2025 Admission Portal.”
- Generate a NABROLL payment invoice.
- Pay the ₦2,000 screening fee online or at any bank nationwide.
- Return to the portal, complete the registration form, and print your Acknowledgment Slip.
- Candidates must present the slip along with other credentials during the screening exercise.
Important Note
- Ensure all details provided are correct before submission.
- Late registration will not be entertained.
- Keep checking the school portal and your email/SMS for screening updates.
