The management of Abdulkadir Kure University, Minna (AKUM) has officially announced the commencement of the Post-UTME and Direct Entry (DE) online screening exercise for candidates seeking admission into the university for the 2025/2026 academic session.

This screening exercise will run from Sunday, 14th September 2025 to Saturday, 27th September 2025. All UTME and DE applicants who selected AKUM as their institution of choice are strongly advised to complete the registration process within this period to avoid disqualification.

AKUM Post-UTME/DE Cut-off Mark & Eligibility

  • UTME Candidates: Only candidates who sat for the 2025 UTME, scored at least the approved AKUM cut-off mark (as published by the university), and chose Abdulkadir Kure University as their first choice are eligible to apply.
  • Direct Entry Candidates: Applicants must possess at least five (5) O’Level credit passes in relevant subjects, including English Language and Mathematics, obtained at not more than two sittings. In addition, candidates must have an A’Level qualification, NCE, OND, or equivalent.

 Note: Candidates are required to upload their O’Level and A’Level (for DE applicants) results on both the JAMB CAPS portal and the AKUM admission portal. Failure to do so may result in disqualification, as only candidates with verified results will be recommended for admission.

Follow the step-by-step process below to successfully register for the screening exercise:

  1. Visit the official AKUM application portal  https://portal.akum.edu.ng/applicationportal/auth/login
  2. Use your JAMB Registration Number as your username and any of your names as the password.
  3. Log in and carefully complete the online application form with the correct details.
  4. Proceed to fund your wallet with the sum of ₦2,000.00 (two thousand naira only), which is the cost of the screening.
  5. After a successful payment, generate and print your acknowledgement slip instantly.

Important Notes for All Applicants

  • Supplying false information during registration will lead to automatic disqualification.
  • You may upload a maximum of two different O’Level examination results (WAEC, NECO, NABTEB, NBAIS, or equivalent).
  • Candidates who fail to register within the stipulated period (14th – 27th September 2025) will not be considered for admission.
  • The passport photograph uploaded from JAMB will serve as the official student ID throughout your stay at AKUM ensure it is clear and valid.
