The management of Sokoto State University (SSU) wishes to inform all prospective candidates who applied for admission into the institution through the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and Direct Entry (DE) that the online screening exercise for the 2025/2026 academic session will close on Friday, 10th October 2025.
This screening exercise applies only to candidates who selected SSU as their first choice and scored a minimum of 150 in the UTME. Direct Entry candidates are expected to upload scanned copies of their relevant A’ Level qualifications (Diploma, NCE, IJMB, etc.) to the University portal. Additionally, both UTME and DE candidates must ensure that their O’Level results with at least five credit passes, including English Language and Mathematics, obtained in not more than two sittings, have been uploaded on JAMB’s Central Admissions Processing System (CAPS) via https://jamb.caps.gov.ng or through any JAMB-accredited CBT centre.
Screening Procedure
- Visit the University portal at https://portal.ssu.edu.ng.
- Log in using your JAMB Registration Number as both username and password.
- Click on ‘Update Data’ to update your email address and phone number.
- Generate and print a screening payment invoice of ₦2,000 only (excluding transaction charges), containing your Monnify Payment Reference Number.
- Proceed to any commercial bank to make payment or click on ‘Pay Now’ to use instant Monnify payment channels.
- After payment, log in again to update your biodata, academic details, and other required information.
- Print your acknowledgment slip and payment receipt for record purposes.
Important Notes
- The screening exercise is strictly online.
- No Post-UTME examination will be conducted.
- Only candidates who complete the online screening process will be considered for admission.
