The management of the Federal University of Technology, Owerri (FUTO), Imo State, is inviting suitably qualified candidates to apply for full-time and part-time postgraduate programmes for the 2025/2026 academic session.
General Admission Requirements
Prospective applicants must have a minimum of five (5) O’Level credit passes, including English Language and Mathematics, plus three relevant subjects at not more than two sittings, as required by the chosen department.
Available Programmes
1. Postgraduate Diploma (PGD)
- Bachelor’s Degree (not below Third Class) from FUTO or any recognized university.
- Higher National Diploma (HND) with Upper Credit and above in relevant areas.
- Recognized professional qualifications such as ICAN, ACA, FIST, FIMT, FMILT, FNIST may also be considered.
2. Master’s Degree (M.Sc, M.Eng, M.Tech, MBA, MPH)
- Bachelor’s Degree with at least Second Class Lower (CGPA 2.50/5.00 or 2.00/4.00) from FUTO or any recognized university.
- Third Class Bachelor’s Degree with a PGD (CGPA of not less than 2.50/5.00 or 2.00/4.00).
- Other qualifications approved by the University Senate.
3. Doctor of Philosophy (PhD)
- Master’s Degree with a minimum CGPA of 3.50/5.00 or 3.00/4.00 in the relevant discipline.
- Any other qualification recognized by the University Senate.
