The management of Abia State University (ABSU), Uturu, wishes to inform the general public and prospective students that the online admission screening for the 2025/2026 academic session has officially begun.
This exercise is open to candidates seeking admission into the university’s regular degree programmes for the new academic year.
Who Can Apply?
The screening exercise is open to:
- Candidates who selected Abia State University as their first or second choice in the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).
- Candidates who did not initially choose ABSU but wish to change their institution to ABSU.
- Candidates with a minimum UTME score of 150.
- Applicants with at least five (5) O’level credit passes, including English and Mathematics, in line with the university’s admission requirements.
- Direct Entry candidates with appropriate qualifications.
Method of Application
- Log on to the official ABSU portal via www.portal.abiastateuniversity.edu.ng.
- Upload your UTME score, O’level results, and degree results (where applicable).
- Proceed to make an e-payment of N2,000 (two thousand naira) for the Post-UTME screening form. Payment can be made at the following banks:
- ABSU Microfinance Bank, Uturu
- Signature Bank
- First Bank Plc
- Eco Bank Plc
- Zenith Bank Plc
- Fidelity Bank Plc
- Union Bank Plc
- UBA Plc
- Or via bank debit cards
- ABSU Microfinance Bank, Uturu
- Complete your online registration and print out the confirmation slip.

- Only candidates who complete the screening registration will be considered for admission.
