The University of Benin (UNIBEN) has officially opened its Post-UTME and Direct Entry (DE) screening portal for the 2025/2026 academic session. If UNIBEN is your first choice and you scored 200 or above in JAMB, this is your chance to secure admission.
Mop-Up Registration Deadline
The university has announced a mop-up application round, which will close by midnight, Tuesday, September 2, 2025.
- Venue printing begins: 12 noon, Wednesday, August 27, 2025
- DE application deadline: Same as above — midnight, September 2, 2025
Candidates are strongly advised to complete their applications before the deadline.
Screening Schedule
- Date: Monday, September 1 to Saturday, September 6, 2025
- Mode: Physical (at Ugbowo campus) — not virtual
Eligibility Requirements
To qualify for the UNIBEN 2025/2026 Post-UTME/DE screening, candidates must:
- Have UNIBEN as their first choice on JAMB.
- Score 200 or above in JAMB (for UTME).
- Possess five (5) O’Level credits, including English and Mathematics, in not more than two sittings.
- Have a valid email address for communication.
How to Apply
- Application Opens: Monday, August 4, 2025 (8:00 AM)
- Application Closes: Friday, August 22, 2025 (Midnight)
Steps:
- Visit the UNIBEN official website.
- Go to the “Application Menu” and click “Begin Application Process.”
- Enter your JAMB Registration Number and score, create a password, and log in.
- Complete your details accurately.
- Proceed to payment via Remita (₦2,000 screening fee + portal charges).
- Use a valid ATM card to make payment.
- Review your information before final submission (no edits after submission).
- Print your acknowledgment slip and screening invitation slip (with exam date and venue).

After Registration
- Check from Wednesday, August 27, 2025, for your specific exam date, venue, and time.
- Arrive at least one hour before your screening.
- Phones and calculators are not allowed.
Documents to Bring on Exam Day
- Acknowledgment Slip
- Screening Invitation Slip (with date, time, and venue)
Failure to present these may result in denied entry.
Final Note
UNIBEN will not accept any payment after Friday, August 22, 2025 — missing the deadline means forfeiting your chance.
