JAMB

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced that candidates who registered for the 2026 Mock Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) can now begin printing their notification slips.

According to the board, slip printing commenced on Monday, March 23, 2026.

Mock Exam Date

The 2026 UTME Mock Examination is scheduled to take place on:

Saturday, March 28, 2026

The mock exam is primarily designed to help candidates:

  • Get familiar with the Computer-Based Test (CBT) environment
  • Assess their level of preparation before the main UTME
  • Identify and resolve possible technical issues ahead of the exam

How to Print Mock Slip

Candidates are required to print their slips through the official JAMB portal by following these steps:

  1. Visit the JAMB official website
  2. Click on “2026 MOCK SLIP PRINTING”
  3. Enter your registration number
  4. Download and print your slip

Candidates are also advised to locate their exam centres in advance to avoid last-minute confusion on the exam day.

Extended Exam Duration

JAMB has introduced a new format for the mock exam in 2026.

Instead of the usual 2-hour duration, the mock will now run for 4 hours to give candidates more exposure to the CBT system.

Exam Sessions:

  • First Session: 8:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m.
  • Second Session: 10:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.

Candidates are expected to participate in both sessions consecutively.

Participation is Mandatory

The JAMB Registrar, Is-haq Oloyede, emphasized that participation in the mock exam is compulsory for candidates who selected it during registration.

He noted that the mock exercise has limited slots, and failure to participate results in wasted opportunities that could have been allocated to other interested candidates.

Important Reminder

All candidates who registered for the mock exam are strongly advised to:

  • Print their slips early
  • Confirm their exam centres ahead of time
  • Make adequate preparations to attend both sessions

Taking part in the mock exam will provide valuable experience and boost confidence ahead of the main UTME.
