Nasarawa State University has officially informed all newly admitted students that the matriculation ceremony for the 2025/2026 academic session has been scheduled.
Ceremony Details
- Date: Friday, 27th February, 2026
- Time: 9:00 a.m.
- Venue: Convocation Square, Main Campus
All students who will be matriculating are expected to take note of the following important guidelines.
Collection of Academic Gowns
Matriculation gowns will be available for collection from the offices of each Faculty Officer starting Tuesday, 24th February, 2026. Students are not required to pay any fee to obtain the gowns. However, all gowns must be returned immediately after the ceremony.
Assembly and Procession
Matriculating students must gather outside the Convocation Square no later than 8:00 a.m. for the academic procession. Students are to line up behind their respective Faculty Officers in alphabetical order according to their faculties, as listed below:
- Faculty of Administration
- Faculty of Allied Health Sciences
- Faculty of Arts
- Faculty of Communication and Media Studies
- Faculty of Education
- Faculty of Environmental Sciences
- Faculty of Law
- Faculty of Natural and Applied Sciences
- Faculty of Social Sciences
Special Notice for Certain Faculties
Students in the Faculty of Agriculture and Faculty of Engineering will hold their matriculation ceremonies at their respective campuses, as is customary.
- Engineering students are expected to be seated by 9:00 a.m.
- Agriculture students in Lafia are to be seated by 11:00 a.m.
Important Reminder
All academic gowns must be returned to the Faculty Officers within 24 hours after the ceremony. Failure to comply with this directive will result in a fine or other penalties.
All concerned students are advised to strictly follow these instructions to ensure a smooth and successful matriculation ceremony.
