The University of Delta (UNIDEL), Agbor, has announced Saturday, 21 February 2026 as the date for its Maiden Convocation Ceremony.

The announcement was contained in a circular signed by the Registrar, Richmond Omagbemi (Esq), outlining key activities and expectations for the university community.

 Date & Time

• Date: Saturday, 21 February 2026
  
• Academic Procession: 9:00 a.m. prompt
  

The grand finale of the ceremony will begin with the Academic Procession at exactly 9:00 a.m.

All members of the University Council, Senate, and Congregation are required to participate fully, dressed in approved academic gowns.

 Academic Gowns for Graduating Students

Faculty Officers have been directed to:

• Collect academic gowns for their respective graduating students
  
• Collection Date: Wednesday, 19 February 2026
  
• Deadline: On or before 12:00 noon
  
• Collection Point: Central Stores
  

Faculty Officers are also responsible for ensuring that students maintain proper conduct throughout the ceremony.

 Conduct & Penalties

The university has warned that:

• Any misconduct capable of bringing the institution into disrepute
  
• Any violation of approved procedures
  

will attract stiff penalties in line with UNIDEL’s rules and regulations.

Graduands and attendees are therefore expected to maintain decorum during the entire event.
