UNILAG DLI Publishes Third Admission List for 2025/2026 Academic Session

The Distance Learning Institute (DLI) of the University of Lagos has officially released the third batch admission list for the 2025/2026 academic session.

Candidates who applied for admission can now confirm their status online through the institute’s admission portal. Those whose names appear on the list are required to proceed with the mandatory screening exercise as the next step in securing their admission.

Screening Schedule for Batch Three Candidates

The screening exercise for newly admitted students in the third batch will begin on:

Start Date: Monday, 16 February 2026
Time: 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. (Monday to Friday)

Screening Venues

  • Nurudeen Alao Auditorium, DLI Building, University of Lagos
  • Block A (Ground Floor Classroom), DLI Building, University of Lagos

All candidates are expected to report to the Administrative Unit on the second floor of the DLI Building for documentation and verification.

Documents Required for Screening

Admitted applicants must present original copies of the following documents:

  • Completed application form
  • Primary or secondary school testimonial
  • O’Level certificate(s)
  • Birth certificate or sworn affidavit issued before the admission advertisement
  • Higher qualifications for Direct Entry candidates (HND, OND, NCE, ICAN, or other professional certificates)
  • NYSC certificate, exemption, or exclusion letter (for Direct Entry applicants)
  • Marriage certificate, change of name affidavit, and newspaper publication (for married female candidates)

Failure to provide complete documentation may delay the screening process.

Documents Needed After Payment of Fees (For Registration)

Once the prescribed fees have been paid, admitted students must submit the following for registration:

  • Application form
  • Laminated coloured admission letter
  • Photocopies of testimonial and O’Level results
  • Student information form
  • Higher qualification documents (for Direct Entry candidates)
  • NYSC certificate/exemption/exclusion (Direct Entry)
  • Online acceptance letter
  • Biodata form (generated online)
  • Course registration form endorsed by the course adviser
  • Handwritten and signed letter of commitment to pay service charges
  • Original reference letter from employer or sponsor
  • Reference letter from a lawyer, clergy, imam, or senior civil servant
  • Online payment receipt
  • Marriage-related documents (where applicable)
  • Birth certificate or pre-advertisement affidavit
  • Four passport photographs (white background, name and matriculation number written at the back)
  • JAMB result slip

Important Notice to Admitted Candidates

The institute has given admitted students a one-month window to complete the screening process. Failure to attend within this period may result in forfeiture of admission.

Candidates are also strongly advised to beware of fraudsters. The University of Lagos does not authorize third-party agents to process admissions. For clarification or assistance, students should contact the Office of the Institute Secretary directly.

Newly admitted candidates are encouraged to act promptly and ensure all documentation is properly arranged to avoid unnecessary delays.
