Nile University of Nigeria has confirmed that its 17th Matriculation Ceremony will take place on Monday, January 26, 2026, marking the formal admission of newly enrolled students into the institution’s academic community.
This landmark event represents the official point at which successful applicants are recognized as full members of the university, gaining access to all academic rights, responsibilities, and opportunities available to Nile University students.
Event Format and Session Allocation
To ensure a well-organized and comfortable experience for participants and guests, the ceremony will be conducted in two separate sessions at the Convocation Ground.
First Session – 10:00 AM
This session will accommodate students from the following academic units:
- College of Health Sciences
- Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences
- Faculty of Environmental Sciences
- Faculty of Law
- Faculty of Management Sciences
Second Session – 2:00 PM
The afternoon segment will welcome students from:
- Faculty of Computing Studies
- Faculty of Engineering
- Faculty of Science
Attendance Advisory: All matriculating students are expected to arrive at least 30 minutes before their scheduled session, fully dressed in their academic regalia, to take part in the formal academic procession.
Requirements for Participation
New students are advised to complete the following steps ahead of the ceremony:
- Collection of Academic Gowns: Official matriculation gowns can be obtained from Faculty Offices or the Student Affairs Unit. Early collection is recommended to avoid last-minute delays.
- Completion of Screening: All physical verification and enrollment procedures must be finalized before the ceremony date. Students who have not completed documentation will not be permitted to participate.
- Matriculation Oath: During the event, students will publicly affirm their commitment to the university’s academic standards and code of conduct.
- Matriculation Register: Each student must sign the official register after the ceremony, confirming their formal entry into the university.
- University Identification: Following registration, eligible students may proceed with the collection of their official student ID cards.
