UNIMAID Opens Applications for Diploma Courses for 2025/2026 Academic Year

The University of Maiduguri (UNIMAID) has officially announced the start of applications into its Diploma Programmes for the 2025/2026 academic session. The admission exercise is being coordinated through the university’s Consultancy Services Centre, under the Diploma and Certificate Programmes Unit.

Who Can Apply? (Entry Requirements)

To be considered for admission, applicants must meet one of the following conditions:

  • Possess a minimum of four (4) credit passes in relevant subjects obtained from WASC, SSCE, NECO, NABTEB, or GCE, in not more than two sittings
    OR
  • Hold four credit or merit passes from the Teachers Grade II Certificate, with at least two subjects related to the intended programme

Applicants are advised to ensure their qualifications align with their chosen course before applying.

How to Obtain the Application Form

Application forms can be obtained directly from the Diploma and Certificate Programmes Unit, located at the Science Complex, University of Maiduguri.

Application Fee:

  • ₦4,000 only

Payment must be made into the UNIMAID Consult Account through the official payment platform:
  payunimaid.net

Proof of payment is required before collecting the form.

Submission Deadline

Completed application forms must be returned to the Diploma and Certificate Programmes Unit immediately after completion.

 Final submission deadline: 27 February 2026

Late submissions will not be entertained, so applicants are encouraged to apply early.
