The Federal University of Education, Zaria (FUEZ) has officially approved and published the academic calendar for the 2025/2026 NCE Regular programme. The schedule outlines all major academic activities for the session, including registration, lectures, teaching practice, SIWES, examinations, and breaks across both semesters.

This calendar is particularly important for NCE III students, as it includes a clearly defined 16-week Teaching Practice (T.P) and SIWES period.

First Semester Breakdown

Teaching Practice and SIWES for NCE III

One of the most important features of the calendar is the extended practical training period for final-year NCE students.

• Teaching Practice & SIWES:
  Monday, 5 January – Friday, 17 April 2026
  (16 weeks)
  

This programme runs alongside other first-semester activities and is compulsory for NCE III students.

Registration Period

All NCE Regular students are expected to complete their registration at the start of the semester.

Lecture Sessions (First Semester)

Lectures are conducted in two phases, separated by a mid-semester break.

A short religious break follows the lecture sessions.

Students will then proceed to examinations.

After examinations, students will observe a brief break before the second semester.
