Non-UTME (O’Level Only) Requirements

Applicants can apply without JAMB if they have:

  • At minimum of five O’Level credit passes, including English Language
  • Results obtained in not more than two sittings

That’s all no UTME required.

UTME Admission Requirements

Candidates applying with UTME must note the following:

  • A minimum JAMB score of 180 gives priority if BUK was chosen
  • O’Level requirements still apply for all courses

Additional subject rules:

  • Courses such as Accounting, Business Administration, Mathematics, Economics, and Health Education require credit in O’Level Mathematics
  • Candidates with NBAIS results can only apply for Arabic or Islamic Studies

Direct Entry (DE) Requirements

Direct Entry applicants must meet all of the following:

  • A recognised advanced qualification such as ND, NCE, IJMB (minimum 6 points), GCE A’Level, Nursing Certificate, or relevant diploma
  • Five O’Level credits, including English
  • Minimum age of 25 years

Course-specific requirements include:

  • Mathematics credit for Accounting, Business Administration, Mathematics, and Economics-related courses
  • English, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, and Physics for Nursing Science and Health Education
  • Credit in Government or History for Public Administration
  • NBAIS holders are restricted to Arabic and Islamic Studies

  • Visit the JAMB part-time/UTME application platform
  • Select Bayero University, Kano (BUK)
  • Complete the form and pay a non-refundable ₦3,500 fee

Step 2: Visit the BUK Application Portal

  • Go to the official BUK website
  • Click on “Part-Time Application Form”
  • Select your programme and gender to proceed

  • The system will generate a username and password
