Postgraduate Admission Requirements

Postgraduate Diploma (PGD)

• Applicants must possess a Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Science (BMLS) with at least a Third Class from a recognized institution.
  
• Registration with the Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria (MLSCN) is compulsory.
  

Master’s Degree (MSc)

• Candidates must hold a relevant Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of Second Class Lower Division.
  
• PGD holders must have a CGPA of at least 3.00 on a 5-point scale.
  
• Holders of FMLSCN qualifications are eligible to apply for MLS postgraduate programmes.
  

Doctor of Philosophy (PhD)

• Applicants must possess a Master’s degree in the proposed field of study.
  
• A minimum CGPA of 3.5 on a 5-point scale is required.
  

Duration of Postgraduate Programmes

• PGD: 2 to 3 semesters
  
• MSc: 3 to 5 semesters
  
• PhD: 6 to 9 semesters
  

Programme duration depends on the mode of study and academic progress.
