UNIOSUN Sets 50% Tuition Payment Requirement Ahead of 2025/2026 Session

UNIOSUN

Osun State University (UNIOSUN), Osogbo, has announced a new tuition payment condition for the 2025/2026 academic session. Students are now required to pay not less than half of their school fees before the commencement of lectures.

The directive was communicated through an official circular issued by the university’s Registrar and circulated to the student body. The notice, dated 18 December 2025, applies specifically to students who did not apply for funding under the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) scheme.

Who the Directive Affects

According to the university, all affected students must complete the 50 percent tuition payment on or before Monday, 5 January 2026, which marks the resumption date for the new academic session.

University management cautioned that failure to comply with this requirement will have consequences. Students who do not meet the payment condition will be disqualified from participating in Continuous Assessment activities and mid-semester examinations for the session.

Advice to Students

The institution encouraged students to make their payments early to avoid unnecessary pressure and possible academic setbacks once the session begins. Prompt payment, the university noted, will help ensure a smooth academic experience.

The circular also included goodwill messages, urging students to enjoy the holiday period responsibly while preparing for the new session.

Official Confirmation

The notice was officially endorsed by Mrs. Atinuke Abosede Oguntunde, Registrar of Osun State University, acting on behalf of the Vice-Chancellor.

Students are advised to stay alert and follow all official university communications to avoid missing important academic requirements.
