Gombe State University (GSU), Gombe has released an official instruction for candidates admitted into the 2025/2026 academic session. According to the university, all newly admitted students must verify their O-Level results within the approved timeline to avoid issues with their admission status.
This verification exercise is compulsory and forms part of the university’s admission documentation process.
Who Is Eligible for the Verification Exercise?
Only candidates who have:
- Been offered admission, and
- Downloaded their official GSU admission letters
are allowed to participate in the O-Level verification.
Students who have not completed these steps will not be recognised for the exercise, which may lead to delays or complications later in the admission process.
How to Verify Your O-Level Result at GSU
Eligible candidates should follow the steps below:
- Visit the official GSU O-Level verification portal:
verifyolevel.gsu.edu.ng - Upload your O-Level result (WAEC, NECO, or equivalent) as required.
- After successful submission, a verification receipt will be generated.
Students are strongly advised to download and keep the receipt safely, as it may be required for further clearance or screening stages.
Verification Deadline
The university has fixed the deadline for the O-Level verification as:
Wednesday, 24 December 2025
GSU has made it clear that no extension will be granted. Submissions after the deadline will not be accepted, and failure to comply may affect a student’s admission.
Important Notice to Fresh Students
Newly admitted candidates are advised not to delay this process. Ignoring the verification or waiting until the last minute could lead to avoidable problems that may be difficult to resolve later.
The directive was issued by Musa Sarki, Deputy Registrar (Academic), on behalf of the Registrar, and all concerned students are expected to comply fully.
