Modibbo Adama University (MAU), Yola, has published the official academic timetable for the 2025/2026 academic year. The calendar outlines all key academic activities and serves as a guide for students throughout the session.
The schedule, approved by the university’s academic planning unit, shows important dates for resumption, course registration, lectures, examinations, breaks, and result processing across the two semesters.
First Semester Activities
Start of Session
Academic activities for the first semester will commence on Friday, 2 January 2026, marking the beginning of the 2025/2026 session.
Registration Period
- 5 January – 17 January 2026
Regular registration for students (two weeks) - 19 January – 31 January 2026
Late registration window (two weeks)
Convocation Events
The university’s convocation ceremonies will take place from 29 January to 31 January 2026.
Lecture Period
Teaching for first semester courses will run from 19 January to 2 May 2026, covering a total of 15 weeks.
First Semester Examinations
Examinations for the semester are scheduled for 4 May to 23 May 2026, lasting three weeks.
Mid-Session Break
Students will proceed on break from 25 May to 6 June 2026.
Second Semester Activities
Registration
- 8 June – 20 June 2026
Normal registration period - 22 June – 4 July 2026
Late registration period
Lecture Period
Second semester lectures will be held from 22 July to 3 October 2026, running for 15 weeks.
Second Semester Examinations
Examinations will take place between 5 October and 24 October 2026.
Marking and Project Defence
Script marking and project defence exercises are scheduled for 26 October to 14 November 2026.
Result Processing
Results will be uploaded and processed from 16 November to 28 November 2026.
End-of-Session Break
The academic session will conclude with a break from 30 November to 2 December 2026.
Next Session Resumption
The university has fixed Monday, 4 January 2027 as the resumption date for the 2026/2027 academic session.
