Gombe State University (GSU) has issued an important update to all newly admitted students for the 2025/2026 academic session, urging them to take immediate action on their admission status. The notice, released through an internal memo from the Office of the Registrar on 3rd December 2025, stresses that all candidates must accept and print their JAMB and GSU admission letters before the deadline of 8th December 2025.
According to the memo, the university observed that some candidates who were successfully offered admission into various undergraduate programmes are yet to formally accept their offers. GSU made it clear that failure to accept the admission on or before the deadline will automatically lead to forfeiture of the offer, leaving affected students without a claim to the admission.
Support for Candidates With Technical Difficulties
To ensure that no student is left behind due to technical issues, Gombe State University has made provisions for offline assistance. Candidates who encounter difficulties while trying to accept their admission either on the JAMB CAPS portal or the university’s platform are encouraged to visit the Academic Office.
Support will be available from:
Wednesday, 3rd December 2025 – Monday, 8th December 2025
Time: 9:00am – 2:00pm daily
During this period, designated staff members will attend to candidates and help them complete the acceptance and registration processes smoothly.
A Firm Warning to Candidates
The memo, signed by Musa Sarki, Academic Secretary (For the Registrar), reiterates that the university will not extend the deadline. Candidates who fail to meet the stated requirements by 8th December 2025 will lose their admission without appeal.
