The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) has shifted the earlier announced date for the opening of its recruitment portal for candidates shortlisted for the next phase of screening.
The portal, which was initially scheduled to be available from Monday, December 1 to Wednesday, December 3, will no longer open as planned.
Portal Opening Date Delayed
In a statement issued on Monday night and shared on its official X handle, the Board’s Secretary, Maj. Gen. (Rtd.) A. M. Jibril, confirmed that the portal would now be activated at a later date, which will be communicated soon.
According to the Board, applicants are advised to continually visit the official recruitment portal recruitment.cdcfib.gov.ng for fresh updates regarding the new schedule.
Apology to Applicants
The CDCFIB expressed regret over the inconvenience the postponement may cause and thanked applicants for their patience and interest in the recruitment process.
The statement added that all further updates will be published exclusively on the Board’s verified digital platforms.
Next Phase of the Recruitment
The Board had earlier announced that candidates who passed the computer-based test conducted last month would proceed to physical screening and document verification beginning December 1.
This stage, described as a crucial part of the recruitment process, involves validating applicants’ documents, confirming their identities, and assessing physical fitness before final selection.
Agencies Involved
The ongoing recruitment exercise covers four major paramilitary services under the CDCFIB:
- Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS)
- Nigeria Correctional Service (NCoS)
- Federal Fire Service (FFS)
- Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC)
Further instructions and the updated portal opening date will be released in due course.
