Olabisi Onabanjo University (OOU), Ago-Iwoye, Ogun State, has released important dates and instructions guiding the final phase of its 2025/2026 admission exercise for both UTME and Direct Entry candidates.
This simplified guide explains every key date, required payment, CAPS action, and the consequences of missing any step.
Overview of the 2025/2026 Admission Exercise
For the 2025/2026 academic year, OOU management has outlined essential activities for newly admitted students, including:
- A fixed date for the matriculation ceremony
- A strict deadline for acceptance and school fee payments
- The date the matriculation list will be forwarded to JAMB
- What happens to candidates who fail to complete all required steps
Important Admission Dates for 2025/2026
All freshers must take note of the following official dates:
Matriculation Ceremony
- Date: Tuesday, 16 December 2025
- Purpose: Official matriculation for all fully registered new students
Final Deadline for All Payments
- Date: Friday, 28 November 2025
- Payments Required:
- Acceptance fee
- School fees
- Acceptance fee
Submission of Matriculation List to JAMB
- Date: Tuesday, 2 December 2025
- Reason: JAMB requires institutions to submit matriculation lists at least two weeks before matriculation day.
Mandatory Payments for All Fresh OOU Students
Every admitted student must complete the following payments before the closing date:
- Acceptance Fee
- Full School Fees
These payments must be completed on or before Friday, 28 November 2025.
Partial payments or late payments will result in automatic disqualification from matriculation.
Required JAMB CAPS Actions for Admitted Candidates
Some candidates have already been offered admission on JAMB CAPS but have not completed all steps. OOU requires the following actions before the deadline:
- Log in to your JAMB CAPS portal and click to accept your admission
- Print your JAMB admission letter
- Pay the acceptance fee
- Pay your school fees in full
Failure to complete these steps before 28 November 2025 means the candidate is not considered a valid student for the session.
Consequences of Missing the Deadline
The university has clearly stated the outcome for candidates who do not meet the payment and CAPS requirements:
- Anyone who does not pay both the acceptance and school fees by Friday, 28 November 2025 will not appear on the matriculation list.
- Candidates who fail to complete their CAPS acceptance or required payments will lose their admission, even if JAMB CAPS once showed “Admission Offered.”
This means no late payments, no grace period, and no special consideration after the deadline passes.
